I think this 3 linear rod concept has tremendous potential. It should be incredibly stable and budget-friendly. This is just a rough model to get the conversation started. edit1: The side holder measures 8cm wide, allowing it to fit seamlessly on an aluminium profile of 2080mm. edit2: A primitive x-carriage has been added, although motor support and another block for the vertical rods are still missing.
