Alternative X & Y Belt Tensioner for Wilson 2 printer
thingiverse
These are the parts to make a better belt tensioner for the Wilson 2 printer. The original design uses a plastic wheel made of two halves with a 624 bearing inside and an M4 screw. I didn't like the idea of the plastic wheel, not perfectly smooth, may not be perfectly round. Here's a version using a 626 bearing and an M6 screw. Two discs prevent the belt from sliding, those disks won't cause any friction on the bearing as they push it to the center. The X and Y tensioner designs are modified from the original design for the Wilson 2 (https://github.com/mjrice/Wilson2). The disc design was made by me. To build a tensioner, you need: X or Y body One 626ZZ or 626RS bearing Two discs One M6 screw, washer and nut Printer Settings: Printer: Customized Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 75% Notes: Printed using white PETG at 235°C
