Alternative sear and rotor for Lilliput Rubberband Gun (by Parabellum Arms) by Bengineer

Engineers often face challenges when it comes to finding specific components. In my case, I required 5mm pins for the rotor and sear, but I didn't want to go out and purchase them. Initially, I attempted to print the 5x14mm pins using a 3D printer, but I was not satisfied with the results. I then redesigned the rotor in Sketchup, creating a 1.5mm thick rotor half with a 5mm hollow pin that had a 2.55mm hole. To make the sear, I imported the original .stl file into Sketchup Make and cut it in half. I added a similar hollow pin to enhance its structure. The halves of each piece are bonded together using CA adhesive. A wooden toothpick, which measures nominally 2.5mm in diameter, is lightly coated with CA and inserted into the hollow as reinforcement. The ends are trimmed off with a razor or x-acto knife. The assembled parts fit slightly loosely, so I applied a few drops of oil to all moving components for added security. Although I'm uncertain about the strength of these pins, I hope that the toothpick provides sufficient reinforcement. As a precautionary measure, I'm printing extra rotors as spares.
