And here we are, fixing mistakes of companies that charge me in order to enjoy their products for free. I just hope it can be useful to anyone else.Silverstone CS351 is a very good case for an advanced home NAS. It can fit mATX boards, has room for plenty of disks (I mean PLENTY, not only the 5 HDD 3.5 inch trays). It is a niche product, it is expensive, but build quality is good and it is highly customizable. However, it has some BIG design problems. Like the cooling fan for the HDDs. It is actually quite a decent fan, BUT more than half of its flow is obstructed, and worst, it barely moves air around 2 of the 5 bays, since it is positioned to a side.So... I made a cover that can fit 3x40mm fans instead. Since they are not obstructed by the PCB, I expect the flow to be better at a normalized sound level, but even if it was not the case, the cooling is EVEN between the 5 disks. For me the fans are much more needed here than in the back of the case, where they are barely noticeable with a case with this big volume. The printed part should be a perfect fit if you have a properly tuned printer. Stock screws can be reused with this part as-is. I used PETG and 30% infill (should not matter a lot since the solid top and bottom parts should constitute the majority of the Z dimension)
