Alternative Eustathios 3D Printer Carriage (uses m8 linear bearings)
youmagine
This is an upgraded carriage for the Eustathios Spider 2 3D printer that incorporates m8 linear bearings, replacing traditional bushings to significantly reduce friction and associated costs while minimizing wait times for replacement parts. The original carriage still functions perfectly well, so users can opt for either version depending on their specific needs. This alternative carriage was adapted from the original STL file in Blender due to the unavailability of compatible files, resulting in a model with some minor backward-facing polygons that do not affect printing quality. Additionally, this version includes supports within the design, allowing for more efficient printing and reduced post-processing requirements. By carefully trimming a few millimeters off the original carriage's dimensions, I was able to gain valuable extra printing space.
