Alternative Ender 3 / 3 Pro Auto Shutdown handle
thingiverse
This is a much better option -a non-intrusive one- for the auto-shutdown handle that everyone uses. It really fits like a glove without having to unscrew the wheels. I have an Ender 3 Pro and tested multiple things out there to trigger the auto-shutdown. The only one that worked without modifying the printer -without inverting the on-off button and/or drilling new holes for new screws is this one from Cloud_mj: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4215194 That thing comes with a Handle that pulls the string, which was designed by 3D_PrintSlav: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3697789 But one major issue that I had with that handle is that it requires to partially dissasemble the wheels of the Z arm (the one that goes up and down). Anyway, short story is that when I put those back either they were not exactly adjusted as before and/or the plastic from this new handle was touching the bearing of the wheels and prevented them to work as they should. Result: the Z arm was not perfectly aligned and the nozzle destroyed my magnetic bed. I decided to design a more simple model that didn't require to mess up with the Z arm. This one fits like a glove and you just slide it in the arm and that's it. You can also remove it very easily but still holds in place during operation. Give it a try!
