Alternative Christmas Card/Frame
pinshape
This frame was created to serve as an alternative to traditional Christmas cards. It can hold a printed version of an electronic card, or you can create your own by printing a picture you like and signing the back before presenting it along with the frame. I gave this to my wife, including a selection of pictures so she can change the display whenever she prefers. There's enough room to fit several pictures. It can also be used as a standard picture frame. The frame was printed on a Wanhao Duplicator i3 using a 200-micron layer height. MadeSolid PET+ in white filament was utilized, and the recommended settings were applied at a print speed of 30mm/s. Once all parts were printed, they were assembled with glue. The text was painted and a touch of glitter added before it dried, then attached to its position on the front. This design can be adapted for other occasions by creating alternative text. For my next iteration, I plan to make the stands slightly steeper as it currently leans back too much when placed on high shelves. It works well on tables or low shelves. I hope this is helpful to others. My wife appreciates hers and finds that it makes her printer seem less like a toy.
