thingiverse
This is an alternate base carriage for my front carriage http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1275203 designed specifically for a Geeetech i3X. It was created to be used with the igus bushings RJZM-01-08 or compatible duplicates, which feature an inner diameter of 8mm, an outer diameter of 16mm, and a length of 25mm. Three 10mm M3 screws are required for securing the bushing in place. If you are using all-plastic bushings, be careful not to tighten the screws too firmly, as this could cause the bushings to deform and increase friction. Features: Three-point clamping system for secure bushing alignment No reduction in movement range Effective back cable guidance Efficient side cable guidance Designed to accommodate GT2 belts with varying heights Multiple versions are available depending on your belt thickness, which may not be universally standardized Print Settings: No support materials required Note: A gap of 12mm must be bridged during printing; this should not be a significant challenge. Post-Printing Instructions: For optimal results, ensure proper alignment of self-printed bushings. It took over an hour to achieve friction-free movement. Refer to the provided graphic for clarification on correct placement. To fixate the belt: Hold the belt at the outer corner with a 30° angle and gently push it into place. Then, push in the remaining part.
