Alternate thumb mount for Cyborg Beast

Alternate thumb mount for Cyborg Beast

thingiverse

The E-Nable group's design involves a bracket for mounting on Jorge Zuniga's Cyborg Beast hand, using the same hardware as that for securing fingers and wrist hinge. This innovative design was inspired by Nick Parker's thumb design for another hand platform, offering an option for palm-mounted thumb to facilitate different grip patterns. Both right and left-hand versions are available. The design has been tested and confirmed printable on Makerbot and Solidoodle printers using Makerware and Slic3r respectively. Cable routing is accomplished with bicycle brake cable housing, similar to the product from REI, following a method common in special effects industry for building puppet-hands.
