Alternate Nintendo Switch Dock
thingiverse
An alternate switch dock crafted with repurposed original dock electronics stands out as a unique solution. The front section was designed to print upright, utilizing Cura's treesupport feature to achieve stability. Meanwhile, the back portion was printed in a horizontal orientation to accommodate its specific design requirements. The joycon strap rail component was printed with the wide part facing downwards to ensure proper alignment. Precise spacing was implemented to allow for the use of tri-point screws from the original dock, providing a secure fastening mechanism for the PCB. Three spacers were strategically used to accommodate the longer tri-point screw. M2 screws and nuts, along with small 2mm plastic screws leftover from other electronics projects, served as additional fastening options. Note: The printed version depicted in images lacks recesses for air intakes; however, the STL files have been updated to include these features, ensuring optimal airflow.
