This is an alternative body designed for use with iRoberti's excellent feeder. The primary goal was to accommodate a PC4-M6 tube push fitting and MK8 or E3D hobb-goblin drive wheel. The body has been completely reworked based on the original design, retaining the same yoke, latch, and arm. I have printed over 200 hours with an MK8 drive wheel and another 100 hours with an E3D hobb goblin, resulting in solid performance. Beyond the changes to drive wheel and tube fitting, this model features several modifications compared to the original iRoberti feeder design: * Filament holes are now 2mm in diameter. * The upper part has been extended, creating a snug fit around the drive wheel and ball bearing. This prevents filament bending and subsequent looping during feeding. * A cable retention clip is integrated into the design. * Holes for arm and latch have been slightly reduced to improve the fit. * Thickness has been increased by 10mm, allowing the feeder to be mounted with the arm facing out without catching the printer's side. * All four screws are of equal length, eliminating the need for washers. * The throat has been shifted sideways to align approximately with the drive wheel. Two versions of the body are included, along with STEP files for those who want to make modifications. One version accommodates a cable retention clip, while the other does not. To assemble this design, you will need: * Latch and arm from the original listing (see link). * Yoke from the original listing. I use the 38mm version, which works well. * A MK8 or E3D hobb-goblin drive wheel. Between the two options, I have noticed minimal difference in performance, except for price. * One PC4-M6 4.3mm push fitting. * Four M3 30mm screws. A final note: The grub screw on the hobb-goblin is quite long. In my experience, it can catch when working with the extended upper body. A shorter grub screw or carefully removing a bit of plastic from the area may also resolve this issue.
