Altec Lansing 2100 horizontal speaker mod
thingiverse
I recently acquired an Altec Lansing 2100 2.1 speaker kit and last week I bought a 32" computer screen. However, when I set up the speakers under the screen, I encountered a major issue - the vertical speakers didn't fit. As a 3D designer by trade, I quickly came up with a solution to this problem. I removed the default metal frame that came with the kit and designed a custom horizontal stand for the speakers. This was an ultra-easy print job that required minimal support and only used a small amount of plastic. The design is specifically engineered to minimize vibrations, making it ideal for use with my speaker kit. To achieve optimal results, I printed this stand at 0.2mm resolution with a 25% infill setting. If you find this design helpful or would like to see how others have adapted it, please consider downloading and printing your own version. I'd love to see the finished product and appreciate any feedback you may have!
