This limestone pedestal, likely a sacrificial table, is adorned with reliefs depicting the abduction of Persephone. In Greek mythology, Persephone, also known as Kore, is Zeus's daughter and Demeter's child, reigning supreme over the underworld and presiding over springtime, blossoms, and vegetation. Leading the way is Artemis, followed by the chariot that bears Persephone, while Aphrodite stands behind them, accompanied by Demeter and Persephone. The pedestal was unearthed in Vitsadha.
