This is a Taurobolic altar that likely originated in Chalandri, Attica. Associated with the cults of Rhea-Cybele and Attis, it features three sides adorned with relief carvings and one side engraved with text. One side showcases Rhea-Cybele seated, her right hand resting on Attis's shoulder as he leans against a kalaurops, a staff utilized in sacred rituals for divination purposes. On the opposite side, Cybele is depicted enthroned alongside Demeter to her right. The third side presents two crossed torches and multiple symbols. The fourth side bears two inscribed epigrams.
