Alpinestar SMX6 Toe Slider
thingiverse
Here's a replacement toe slider for the Alpinestar SMX6 motorcycle boots. It has a distinct shape that differs from the original due to my decision to make the original shape 3D printable, but it fits snugly into the small notch of the shoe. This is currently a prototype, and although it works perfectly and fits well, I may need to refine the design later on. My plan is to test this version on the road before proceeding any further. To print this replacement slider, make sure you use 100% infill and a layer height of 0.2mm or less due to the presence of overhangs. Use a temperature of 205°c for PLA, and also ensure that you print at a slower pace than usual. The overhangs are printable but will look significantly better with these minor adjustments. Later on, I will provide an already sliced version of this replacement slider. In this version, only the sliding part and the notch connecting to the boot will be 100% infill, while the rest will have a 25% infill rate. If you decide to use this replacement slider, please give me some feedback so that I can continue to improve the design. Best regards!
