Alpine touring skins length adapter

Alpine touring skins length adapter

This adapter allows you to use skins that are too short for your skis. The 3D printed tip section can slide off the skis if hit by the other ski. To prevent this, wrap some electrical tape around the slot. Or any other material to give a little bit of friction between the tip adapter and the ski. Depending on the width and thickness of your ski, you may need to adjust the parameters of the tip adapter. Works well as is on my Black Diamond Verdicts. Also tested on my roommate's Line Mothership skis. Those have rounder tips and required electrical tape or another coating on the plastic to keep from rotating of the skis. With a faily tapered tip like my verdicts the coating wasn't required. Comment on this page if you try these adapters and let me know how they worked for you :)
