The Alpenfoehn Peter79xx can now receive direct airflow from the bottom of its ATX case thanks to a clever fan shroud modification using the Noctua NF-P14 fan. David Labbé, a designer at GrabCAD, provided an invaluable 3D model of the NF-P14 that saved countless hours of measurement-taking. His freely available model allowed for seamless integration of the shroud without needing physical dimensions, simplifying the installation process. This modification has enabled the system to harness fresh air directly from outside its ATX cabinet, creating a well-ventilated environment that improves airflow efficiency and maintains optimal operating conditions for all internal components.
