Tokens 3cm in diameter reach their maximum thickness at just 2.5mm. Each token holds a single letter of the alphabet raised in relief: 26 letters make up the capital alphabet files, two tokens per file. 26 letters fill the script alphabet files, also two tokens each. The cursive alphabet files hold 26 letters as well, with standard font scaling applied (f=1, l=3/5 and a=1/5). These tokens help students master letter recognition and memorize the written alphabetical order using oral rhymes and rulers in three scripts. Students arrange the alphabet tokens in nursery rhyme sequence on caterpillar cards, often assisted by the ruler. Each set is printed in a different color to prevent mixing letters, with track cards matching each token set's hue. To enhance visibility, students can use black markers to repeat letters. However, the game works effectively without this step. A helpful tip: printing two sets of each keeps tokens from disappearing or getting lost during play. Some tokens may vanish in pockets or on the floor, but having extras ensures a smooth learning experience for all.
