After about ten minutes of development, I have a great process for creating alphabet or any shape cookie cutters in SketchUp. Firstly, create a shape and extrude it to around 1.5-2cm (3/4"). Next, use the offset tool to make a 2mm (1/8") border around your shape's perimeter. Hand drawing may be necessary for letters with holes. Push the new smaller shape back by 1/8" less than your original extrusion depth to create walls and a floor. Sharp walls are essential for smooth cutting, while hole punching the base makes material removal easier. This process is an improvement from my previous cutters (thing 6979) on Thingiverse. To print and use, simply follow instructions, sharpen walls for ease of cutting, and ensure food safety.
