This is my blueprint for a direct drive extruder system. I have provided the Sketchup file for you to modify it into a Bowden configuration. It comprises the following key components: Printed extruder housing Printed idler component Kysan 1040230 geared stepper motor assembly Hyena 8mm hobbed pinion mechanism 3 x M3 x 10 bolts (for securing the motor mounting system) 1 x M3 x 50 bolt (idler tension adjustment unit) 1 x M3 nut (idler tension adjustment component) 1 x spring element 1 x M4 x 20 bolt (bearing shaft attachment point) 1 x 624ZZ bearing (idler bearing component) 2 x M4 washer (for bearing attachment and support) 1 x M3 x 20 bolt (idle pivot point fastener) As evidenced by the photos and detailed supply list, this design is highly minimalist in nature. The mounting system can be achieved using M4 bolts and nuts. It securely attaches to a standard aluminum mounting plate.
