ALP Boresight Holder for Laser Alignment

ALP Boresight Holder for Laser Alignment

I printed a boresight holder for the ALP brackets. It worked perfectly, but I didn't have enough adjustment on my setup to get my mounts level. Rather than wait until next spring when I complete the job, I decided to share the parts with others who might want to use them. The idea is that you place a boresight laser into the holder, snap the holder into the ALP bracket, and then adjust the bracket so it's straight and level by watching where the targeting laser is pointing. Pictures are more effective than words for explaining this. Here's the CAD render of my first design (I have a second one that uses less plastic and prints faster, which I'll share later): The holder is designed specifically for the Sightmark 9mm boresight laser. I sized the holder to fit the 9mm version. They come with affordable batteries. It's wise to keep replacements on hand. The 9mm versions use size 393 batteries. For the laser sight holder STL files attached to this post, v03 is the block one and v05 is the open-centered one.
