Aloy the Machine Hunter
thingiverse
This is a remix of the great Aloy model by StreetPiet. I simply split the model into three parts and added a stand to create a sculpture that's easily printable without supports if your printer handles steep overhangs decently. Splitting the model has its advantages, including surface cleanness and faster print times due to omitted support. However, it also results in visible seams between the individual parts, which require some kind of adhesive to glue them together. ### What Files Do You Need for Printing? Standard Model: (Recommended 2.5x-7x scale) aloy_from_the_nora_SplitTop.stl aloy_from_the_nora_SplitMid.stl aloy_from_the_nora_SplitBotWithStandSimple.stl With LEDs: (Use transparent or white filament and bright LEDs!) aloy_from_the_nora_SplitTop.stl aloy_from_the_nora_SplitMidWithLEDHoles.stl aloy_from_the_nora_SplitBotWithStandWithLEDHoles.stl Optional: aloy_LEDStandWemosD1.stl (Designed for the 5x scaled Aloy) Horizon_Logo.stl (To glue on the side of the stand) ### Update 07/04/17: I've uploaded new files with holes for integrated LEDs in the leg and middle parts. Today, I uploaded photos of the LED assembly and the finished illuminated figurine. I also added a piece to house a Wemos D1 microcontroller controlling the LEDs under the bottom part, which fits for the 5x scaled Aloy model. ### My Print Settings: Grey Model: 3x model scale (Approximately 25cm/10" large) 0.2mm layer height 5% infill No support (For non-split original version or if your printer struggles with overhangs, use support) Print the top and bottom parts normally, while printing the middle part upside down with legs facing up. Enjoy!
