Almost Renault FT tank model ;)
thingiverse
Hello again...\nToday I'm excited to introduce a model of the Renault FT 17 tank, which is almost identical in design.\nThe reason I said "almost" is due to the limitations of 3D printing and my own laziness, but... it still looks like the real thing!\nThe model has fully functional tracks that move smoothly, as well as a movable turret and gun.\nIf you're feeling ambitious and know how, you can even motorize it! Alternatively, you can paint it just like me and display it proudly on your shelf.\nTo build this tank, you'll need to print out the parts, glue them together, and add some steel or carbon rods (about 22 cm long) for axles and gun turrets.\nYou'll also need a few nuts and bolts (M3 size).\nThe best instructions are right above these words, where I've included pictures along with the STL file names.\nTo make the tracks work, you'll need to print out eight sets of the "26.stl" design (one side will require 38 links). The links should be connected using a thin wire (0.7mm diameter) - I used copper wire and it fits perfectly.\nIf you want to get creative or modify the design, I've included a SketchUp file for you to use.\nNow go ahead and have some fun building your very own Renault FT 17 tank!\nPrint Settings\nPrinter Brand: RepRap\nPrinter: Prusa i3 rework\nRafts: Doesn't Matter\nSupports: Doesn't Matter\nResolution: 0.25\nInfill: 25%
