Alligator - Animal Crossing
thingiverse
The model is from Pocket Camp, courtesy of Centrixe (thanks!). I modified it by adding a base and optimizing it for printing. This results in two separate pieces that need to be glued together. Printing settings suggest using both a brim and supports. For optimal results, I recommend printing at 0.12 mm resolution. To glue the parts together, I use Locite super glue. First, align the base piece and apply glue, then attach the head once it's dry. This allows you to correct any warping issues. Depending on how you paint it, this model could represent Boots or Gayle, or even one of the alligators. If you decide to paint it, start by spraying a primer coat, followed by acrylic craft paint. I use affordable options from Walmart and get good results; just be sure to thin the paint with water first. After painting is complete, spray the model with Krylon Colormaxx Clear - Flat to protect the paint.
