The original 3D model was created with Sketchup 6 and subsequently converted to various other 3D formats. The native format is .skp, while the 3dsmax scene utilizes the 2016 version of the software, rendering images with Vray 3.00. In September 2001, Munich held a referendum that questioned whether the Olympic Stadium should be renovated or replaced with a new one. Renovation received a decisive 2/3 of votes, mandating new construction. The architectural design is attributed to Swiss firm Herzog & de Meuron. Above the stands, a fixed roof covers the stadium, resembling De Kuip in style. The curved exterior wall and matching roof evoke the image of an enormous white swimming pool. Made entirely by hand, the individual components that form the membrane roof each offer unique characteristics. Total seating capacity at the stadium reaches 66,000 people. With over 10,000 seats situated within enclosed boxes, and sides designed to fold upwards for added flexibility in configuring space. A total of 104 'Logen' (business units) are integrated throughout the venue. Additionally, a massive parking garage containing up to 11,000 cars stands as the largest on the European continent.
