Designed by:-JOSÉ MANUEL ROS BAS-AITOR ESTARLICH IRAOLA-GUILLERMO TORTOSA MARTÍNEZ*There is a report attached. Please, have a look*The lander considered for the design has been the Blue Moon from Blue Origin, since it includes much data available (rough estimation of size, and possible payload capabilities...), and currently holds the highest investment from NASA for the Artemis program landers. Its web presents some images and videos on how it is planned to take the payload to the Lunar surface. The system will be composed of 3 legs, placed with 120 degrees of separation between them. They converge in a central, top structure that holds the solar panels, communication antenna and the hoist below it, among other possible additions it may have in the future. The dimensions have been determined following the estimations of the Blue Moon’s dimensions. The straight distance between legs, then, must be higher than the total width including its legs, so that the system can positionate itself above it. Its height must surpass that of the lander, including the payload it would lift and carry.Considering that the Artemis program aims for the South Pole, the solar incidence, divided in 24 days of daylight and 4 of eclipse, is almost parallel to the ground. To increase the efficiency of the energy absorption process, the solar panels are placed vertically with foldable solar arrays, where they can be folded or unfolded depending on the needs, and the height of the system allows a continuous irradiance of the Sun on them. An alternative solution of adding solar panels to the legs has also been considered. Although it may not be included within the CAD designs, the external structure will be covered by MMOD shields. The inflatable system allows the expansion and lifting of the structure, to later lock the skeleton of the legs and the extensions to the central structure. Therefore, unless it requires to be packed again (for maintenance, for example), the inflatable system does not require multiple uses nor excessive robustness.*Astronaut 3D has been taken from: https://grabcad.com/library/russian-astronaut-1*
