Allene in Color

Allene in Color

thingiverse

Instructions This allene molecule has its orbitals separated, allowing us to print them in different colors. I've provided two sigma skeleton versions: One has all three carbon atoms connected, and the other isolates one carbon atom for easier printing by rotating it 90 degrees. To create the model, print the sigma skeleton in gray color. Next, color the X orbitals blue and the Y orbitals green, then combine them. Ensure that both sets of X orbitals fit on the printing platform to be printed simultaneously, just like the Y orbitals. Take note that the pins for the X and Y orbital sets differ, preventing any confusion. You may need to flip some parts over for correct fitting.
