Born in Florence, he worked under the guidance of renowned artists Donatello and Michelozzo. In 1441, Agostino was accused of theft and banished from his hometown. He continued his career, creating notable works like the altar of S. Geminiano for the Cathedral of Modena and the sculptural decorations of the Tempio Malatestiano in Rimini.
