Full printable, complete Z-axis solution for all lift platform 3D printer. The Z axis is based on current tests and proves to be a very rigid mechanical structure. When fitting for precision beyond 0.2mm, the carriage shows noticeable improvement with bearings aligned properly. However, issues arose due to improper alignment, resulting in mild grinding and clamping bolt tension. Correcting this error by adjusting bolt tension resolved the issue, allowing smooth movement. Additional solutions may be explored if time permits. Fortunately, assembling the rest of the components was problem-free. The platform holder consists of five printed pieces, requiring careful assembly. The central bracket measures 180mm in length and fits easily into standard 200 * 200mm printers. Each piece should slide together smoothly before securing with screws. Due to self-positioning, some insistence may be necessary during assembly. After placing all nuts, it's essential to tighten them securely, as PLA threads are too weak for metric standards. Important Note: PLA melts easily and loses strength at temperatures above 40°C. To prevent this, consider adding thick insulation under the heated bed and leaving a small air gap between the support and bed. Avoid using fully enclosed and heated workspaces, as they can exacerbate the issue. Additionally, please be cautious when handling small parts and avoid exposing them to extreme temperatures or microwaves. The following components are used in building: * 2x 8mm linear rods * 4x LM08UU linear bearings * 1x TR8x8 threaded rod * 1x 608zz bearing * 1x NEMA17 stepper motor * 1x clutch for joint motor and threaded rod * Numerous M3 nuts (M3x15mm, M3x20mm, M3x25mm) and bolts (M3x50mm) * 4x springs * 1x Corkwood sheet (215x215x8mm) * Kapton tape Print settings: * Material: PLA * Nozzle diameter: 0.4mm * Hotend temperature: 200°C * Hotbed temperature: 60°C (Possibly 70°C for the first layer) * Cooler: Turn off or risk warping the bed. * Speed: 30-50mm/s * Support: Not necessary. Printer settings: * ROD MOUNT: + Layer height: 0.2mm + Infill density: 23% + Shell thickness: 1.2mm + Top/Bottom layer thickness: 0.8mm BED HOLDER: + Layer height: 0.3mm + Infill density: 15% + Shell thickness: 2mm + Top/Bottom layer thickness: 1.2mm
