Chrisniederer's Buddha statue, approximately 8 inches tall, was the first large-scale test of the KBot3D printer. Inspired by experiences with an Ordbot, Shapeoko, and Prusa Mendel, the statue was designed on a Shapeoko using modified templates. Upcoming improvements include a 16x16-inch printing bed capable of producing 30-inch tall prints. After printing in .3mm layers, the statue underwent an acetone vapor treatment to remove haze. The new printer will print continuously for 120 hours, signaling the retirement of the reliable Prusa.
