Alita damascus sword (EL wire version)

Here's my Electroluminescent wire sward from Alita film: Print it in clear PLA, then carefully insert blue EL wire inside. Paint the exterior with silver paint, leaving only the traces on the sward exposed. To accommodate electronics, remove the component from its original box - refer to attached images for guidance. A standard mini micro switch will activate the EL wire at your discretion, inserted into a slot designed specifically for this purpose. I'm thrilled with the outcome so far; feel free to share any suggestions you may have by sending me a message. Update (11/02/2019): I've uploaded revised files where EL wire extends all the way to the end of the sward. Also, I've corrected the orientation of the gripper and blade - they're now properly aligned. Update (14/02/2019): The model is now split evenly down the middle, with left and right sides perfectly mirrored. Update (18/02/2018): I've uploaded a new version of Alita's sward, cut differently this time. There's an offset of 2cm between left and right parts, making it much stronger when glued together - just like bricks in a wall! This design change was inspired by a great comment below, which sparked a brilliant idea.
