I'm super excited to share my Electroluminescent wire sward inspired by Alita film! I printed it in clear PLA, inserted 3 meters of blue EL wire (which you can buy as a kit), and painted the outside with silver paint while leaving the traces on the sward untouched. To fit electronics inside, simply remove it from its original packaging - check out the pictures for details. I've added a slot to accommodate a standard mini micro switch that activates the EL wire at your convenience. I'm thrilled with how it turned out, but feel free to share any suggestions you might have! Update (11/02/2019): I've uploaded new files where the EL wire now reaches right to the end of the sward. By the way, I fixed the gripper and blade's orientation in one of the pictures. Update (14/02/2019): The model is now split evenly, with left and right sides perfectly mirrored. Update (18/02/2018): I've uploaded version 2 of the Alita sward, which has a unique cut. There's an offset of 2cm between the left and right parts, ensuring it will be incredibly strong when glued together - just like bricks in a wall! This update was inspired by a fantastic comment below. Update (20/06/2019): I've uploaded a scaled version for EL wire enthusiasts. The total length is now approximately 95cm, getting closer to the original size of the prop. Don't worry, the EL wire and micro switch slots remain unchanged.
