Alignment tube for Focusing Umbrella - Selens 16 rod 90~190cm
thingiverse
This device allows you to keep a light centered in a photographic umbrella. It fits into the end of a piece of speedrail tubing, 25.50mm inside diameter, and holds a center shaft, 17.20mm outside diameter, securely in place within the umbrella. A tab has been cut out to lock the center shaft in position when positioning the light. I originally used a piece of PVC tubing but found that the center shaft was loose. I only recently learned how to use Sketchup to create this design. The light is positioned so it's never direct, but can be focused from spot to flood. It has worked well so far. It took about 3 hours printing quickly with an Ultimaker 2+ (PLA). This umbrella was purchased from Amazon.
