Alienware 13 R3 Riser Feet V2
thingiverse
This is the upgraded version of my riser feet for the Alienware 13 R3, boasting significant improvements over its predecessor. A robust design features clips that attach securely to the outside of ventilation ports at the laptop's rear, providing a much stronger anchor than the first iteration, which relied solely on the rubber foot at the underside of the machine. Once again, I have deliberately designed these risers to incorporate a rubberised material for both the clip and the foot, while the body can be made from any preferred plastic. For those seeking simplicity, a version is available that prints using a single material; however, I strongly advise opting for the rubber variant. Upon testing the single-material version, I found it to be slightly too tight on the vent, risking potential damage. Using a flexible material for the contact points still guarantees an excellent connection but yields as it's clipped into place, thus minimizing the risk of breaking the laptop's casing. The riser also proudly features the Alienware logo, because why not? Printed with black PLA and green FlexPLA from Rigid.ink, other filament re-sellers are available. UPDATE: Following user feedback (thanks WanaGo!), I have uploaded an experimental version that includes a cutout designed to function like a hinge, allowing single-extruder users to safely utilize the clip without risking damage. Please use this variant at your own risk; I'm merely covering my back.
