OK, I've finally got around to sorting out the mess! The original model was a disaster, full of errors and stuck together in one file, which made it impossible to work with. So, I broke it up into smaller pieces and ran them through all sorts of repair software to clean them up. While it looks like there might be some errors still lurking in some of the cuts, double-checking before printing should catch any mistakes. I've sliced each piece to fit my Wanhao Duplicator I3 Plus, so they're all nice and big. Once assembled, the gun should be just the right size. Don't worry about the trigger handles - you can easily find basic foam-covered bike grips. Just drill some holes to mount them, and you'll be good to go! As for cables, you'll need to add your own real ones, but trust me, it's worth it. Some of the parts might look a bit soft in their details, but they're big enough that you can always add more detail later. To put everything together, I recommend using two-part epoxy - there are no keys, so this will give you time to get all the pieces in place before setting them. I'm really hoping this makes the Smartgun much more printable! In fact, I plan on printing it myself soon, and I'll be sure to post photos along the way.
