Alien3D Swatch Card Display Box

This is my final design for my favorite Alien3D Swatch Cards (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3388734) storage and display setup. I would have chosen a dark purple box top with starry accents, but since I lack the necessary materials, I decided to opt for a daylight theme instead, featuring clouds. The Alien3D logo facade fits seamlessly into the recess on the box bottom and was created using Simplify3D's multiple process feature in various colors. I successfully separated the alien from its ship model, printing each part individually in different colors before reassembling them with glue. To ensure a successful print of the ship, use rafts and supports accordingly. The alien's presence on the ship serves as an excellent handle, provided you grasp the sides of the ship after gluing instead of the alien itself. I designed the box bottom to feature ridges along its length, allowing it to hold at least 20 Alien3D swatch cards comfortably. Although this design won't accommodate all filament samples, it can help display your most impressive ones so far. The box was created to fit on a 120mm x 120mm build plate, and the box shells will print best with 100% infill. Be sure not to use actual filament samples when printing the box shells!
