Alien3D Drink Cooler / Heater

<p>This is the project for the Alien3D Aug UFO Box</p><p>It is a drink cooler/heater using a Peltier plate, a heat sink and a fan.</p><h3>WARNING!</h3><p>If you are going to use it as a drink heater, it can reach temps above ~130F/~55C. It is not safe to touch the aluminum plate at those temperatures. Slide the metal knob through the top hole of the base and then use the nut to hold it in place. Then you can place the plastic knob back. You can then push the power socket into the bottom hole. Place the fan into the area next to the opening for the heat sink. You will want to place the fan so that it is blowing are into the heatsink. Place the Peltier plate into the square opening with the text facing up for cooling, or text down for heating (wiring up backwards will work as well). Then place the heatsink into its place. If you have some thermal paste it will help the cooler work better. It is used between the Peltier and the heatsink. Place the aluminum plate on top (if you want you can place a bit more thermal paste between the plate and Peltier) and then place the shell over everything.</p><p>Then plug in the power supply into the socket. The fan will immediately turn on as it is designed to be always on whenever the power supply is connected. Turn the knob and then power will be supplied to the Peltier and you should start feeling the plate getting colder.</p>
