Alien: Isolation Flare
thingiverse
Presenting a rendition of the Flare from Creative Assembly's 2014 video game, Alien: Isolation. "Used as a means of shedding light on a small area, once a player has unlocked the Flashlight, flares become much more useful for distracting enemies, whether they be Alien or human." The .stl files and graphics provided are based off the in-game assets and concept art. The 3D files were modelled in Blender, based off and scaled to match the relative proportions of low-poly meshes extracted from the game files. The graphic was created in Illustrator, faithful to the way it appears in-game (incl. spelling error). The "real-world" scale of the Flare was guesstimated from reference images. The overall dimensions of the provided .stl's when assembled come out to approx. 290mm high and 40mm in diametre. The graphic is scaled to match these dimensions. A heatshrink was used for part x01, of which a rough .stl is provided for info.
