I aimed to craft a stunning display for this incredible alien bust and head by Cipis, leveraging BillZarek's exceptional UFO design as inspiration. By slicing off the top of the UFO model, I created a sleek dome shape that perfectly sits atop the base. After multiple attempts with various PLA filaments, printing the dome yielded surprisingly impressive results - especially with LEE FUNG's crystal-clear filament leading the pack. Meanwhile, an acrylic display dome from Amazon, specifically designed for collectibles and specimens (Medium 3 3/4" diameter x 6 1/2" height), seamlessly fit onto the base, but I'm eager to incorporate my printed dome into future versions that will feature radiant lighting effects.
