Alien Head Hat Hook

Alien Head Hat Hook

In designing a hat hook, I didn't want just the standard boring hook with a ball on the end. I thought it'd look really cool with an alien head instead. After scouring the internet in general and Thingiverse in particular, I could not find a single decent example of the traditional Grey. So... I decided to try my hand at creating my own.

This is my first ever attempt at an organic shape in Blender, so any comments or criticism would be greatly appreciated.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

TEVO

Printer:

Tarantula

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.1mm - 0.2mm

Infill:

20%

Notes:

This is designed to be printed in two parts and then glued together.
The alienhead itself does need supports enabled and is while the mountingplate does not.
For the alienhead, I highly recommend that you use a relatively large brim for stability - I went with 21mm. This supports the chin fairly well, while the supports will have their own brims which will help support the rear of the head.

Both components are oriented in, what I found to be, the optimal printing orientation.

Category: Organization
