Alien gimbal protector for Taranis X9D and others.

Hello Everyone. This is a vital accessory to safeguard your RC transmitter gimbals when you carry them in a backpack. It will also fit perfectly into an original case if you have other items inside, allowing for easy transport. The design accommodates Taranis X9D and old Spektrum DX7 models, although I haven't had the chance to test it with others yet. It is compatible with most neck strap adapters as shown in the photos. Two small openings can be utilized to secure the protector with a rubber band or similar material, but this feature hasn't been tested yet. I created this design for my own use since I have longer sticks than average users, measuring 36mm tall. I also made an additional file for those who need it, featuring 40mm length. Please refer to the picture for exact dimensions. My inspiration for this design was the xenomorph style from the Alien movie, but it's not intended to replicate it exactly. The goal is to provide a stylish and functional accessory for RC enthusiasts. I chose PLA material for this project because I wanted to paint it and I'm not fond of printing with ABS. My 3D printer (3dPrima) produces stronger prints than usual PLA, which is also more expensive but suitable for my needs. After printing, I sanded the surfaces as much as possible, applied primer, several coats of metallic paint, and a clear lacquer finish on top. If I were to create another one, I would coat it in epoxy due to the difficulty of sanding complex shapes with power tools and PLA's limitations in this regard. It would be great if someone with airbrushing skills could create a unique paintjob and share it with us, as I lack the expertise for multi-color airbrushing. The rounded edges were created using mesh smoothing, resulting in an edited model with only 7480 polygons. The model intended for printing has 447500 polygons, making it relatively easy to edit and modify as needed.
