Alien Figurine Sculpt
pinshape
This is my entry into the Avatar Design Contest, marking a significant milestone in my journey as a beginner 3D sculptor. I've been working tirelessly at this for a week now, constantly starting over to refine my skills. Despite numerous setbacks, I've made tremendous progress, largely thanks to hours of watching YouTube speed sculpting videos that have shed valuable insights into the process. Regrettably, I got caught up in subdividing and perhaps subdivided too early, resulting in an .obj file that exceeds 200mb. However, I'd be more than happy to provide a Dropbox link for those who require access to the full file. Moving on to my model, it's no surprise that I chose an extra-terrestrial theme given my passion for space exploration games like Kerbal Space Program and No Man's Sky. As a fictional character, I felt this choice would be more achievable with my current skill level. I'm incredibly satisfied with how the final product turned out, and sculpting has become an obsession of mine. In fact, I've already started thinking about a more ambitious project that I'll embark on in the coming weeks as soon as I settle on a concept. I'd like to extend my gratitude to Pinshape and their sponsors for hosting this contest, which has inspired me to take the leap into 3D sculpting and push myself beyond my comfort zone.
