Alien Chess Set

I've designed numerous chess sets, but this one was actually the first to take me beyond simple "barrel" shapes - something that's still fun to play with - and add details to give each set its own unique character without compromising the basic functionality of a chess game. The queen poses printing problems due to her arms, and the knight's shape still bothers me. I'd love to hear any suggestions you might have. I printed this design on a Flashforge Dreamer using PLA+ at a layer height of 0.14mm. The design itself was created in Autodesk 123d.
