I was fed up with my Godox X1N-r receiver just hanging from my Alien Bees B400/B800 studio light. So, I came up with a solution to attach it to the top of the flash using either Velcro or double-sided foam tape. It works flawlessly and bridges the umbrella mount channel perfectly.
