This 19th Century bust by Thomas Woolner showcases Alfred Tennyson, a Poet Laureate of Great Britain and Ireland during most of Queen Victoria's reign, who remains one of the most renowned British poets. Tennyson excelled in crafting short lyrics like "Break, Break, Break", "The Charge of the Light Brigade" and "Crossing the Bar". Much of his verse was rooted in classical mythological themes such as Ulysses. This lifesize bust honors Tennyson's achievements. It was captured at The Collection gallery in Lincoln.
