I designed this to mount my "Microsoft LiveCam HD-3000" to my printer, in order to monitor it with octoprint. The clip mounts onto the Alfawise's frame and then you can insert the Webcam's foot into the clip. Though I haven't managed to take the clip off again, without destroying the clip.
