Alfawise U30 Rail Bumper - Y axis cable slider
thingiverse
Have you ever battled frustrating issues with shifting of the print due to Y-axis cable hooking or blocking at the left back rail and mispositioning of the print in the Y-axis? I have, and honestly speaking it was extremely annoying - especially on long-lasting prints. That's why I designed a bumper to tackle this problem. Update v7A 2019.08.26: - The geometry of the mounting holes has been changed to fit perfectly with existing printer screws (left back "leg profile"). This required replacing M5 screws with longer ones, but thankfully no disassembling of the backplate was needed to fit T-Nuts into rail profiles. Update v6 2019.08.23: - The height has been increased to reduce bottom clearance and minimize the risk of jamming the heat bed cable underneath. - Extra angle ribs have been added at the bottom due to the extended height. - Internal angle ribs have been removed to shorten and simplify printing. - The depth of the 'Alfawise U30' text on top has been increased. Print this model at a resolution of 0.3, with an infill of at least 20%, no rafts, and supports that just touch the buildplate. tags: Alfawise U30 Rail Bumper - Y-axis cable anti-snag solution, problem solver, movement stabilizer, slider fix, blockage prevention
