Use a standard Apexi pod Intake filter and a 45 degree silicon coupler with hose clamps to hold it all together. This design reuses factory intake brackets and grommets, making it easy to install. The intake system is designed for laminar airflow, so while you may hear the turbo whistle at full throttle, it's otherwise almost silent. It takes a few days for your car to adapt to the new intake, during which time it will lean surge at low speeds. However, this clears up when the ECU adapts to the increased airflow. The filter is rated to 533 cfm and has about twice the area of the factory filter. Future work: The current design places the filter in front of the factory intake scoop, but I'm working on redesigning the scoop for a boost in pressure at speed. A sealed airbox is also in development.
