Alfa Romeo Giulia Glove Box Latch

Alfa Romeo Giulia Glove Box Latch

Replacement finger thing for Giulia glove box latch.\nThese cars have a poorly designed glove box latch. They clip a plastic part onto an actuator instead of casting a metal finger on the lock cylinder for some reason.\nA friend picked up a Quadrifoglio and made the mistake of trying to store the owner's manual in the glove box. It doesn't fit, so here we are.\nIf you encounter the same issue, it is a simple fix.\nOpen the latch and you will see two tabs that hold it on. If you look closely, you can see the third tab hiding on the other side of the lock cylinder. I would poke at the third one if possible, which pops the latch right out.\nNow you should see the finger that opens it, just slide it sideways and it will open.\nIf you pulled the lever too far that it won't go back in, you will need to push the hinge pin out to get it back where it needs to be. It's easy and slides right out.\nIf you look at the spring on it, it should be down on the side of the lock cylinder. If it is caught on the end near where this clip attaches, it will give a sort of detent action in the closed and open positions.
