The Alfa Romeo 147, a small family car created by Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo between 2000-2010, succeeded the 145 and 146 hatchbacks at the 2000 Turin Motor Show. Based on the 156 saloon's running gear, it offered 1.6, 2.0, and 3.2-litre petrol engines, as well as a 1.9-litre diesel. Its 'Selespeed' transmission was paddle operated and sequential. The first to boast dual-zone climate control and electronic traction control, it had two available trim levels: Turismo and Lusso. Manufactured for ten years, the model was replaced by the Alfa Romeo Giulietta in May 2010, making a total of approximately 580,000 vehicles produced.
